Kerttu Nurminen (born 1943) started designing in Nuutajärvi in 1972, Coca-Cola bottles are unique items. The first commercial art objects, Akilleija and Hilla, he planned for the first Art Collection (since 1981 Pro Arte) in 1976. Nurminen was the last monthly designer in Nuutajärvi until 2008. Kerttu Nurminen is best known for the Mondo and Verna glass series.

Kerttu Nurminen has also designed ceramics for Arabia, The State Art Prize and the Kaj Franck Design Award.
