Designer - Ritva Kaukoranta

RITVA KAUKORANTA (born 1926 in Helsinki) graduated from the Art Center School Department of Ceramics in 1947. Artist in the Arabia Art Department she was in 1947-1952. In the department she herself designed and wheel-turned small basins and vases which were manufactured of high firing mass of the factory and earthenware glazings were used.

Kaukoranta took actively part in both domestic and foreign exhibitions in the 1950's  and was awarded with a gold medal in Milano triennal for her works in 1951. She had her own atelier in Helsinki in 1966-1972 and a co-operation room in Pot Viapor until 1977.
