Designer - Peter Winquist

Peter Winquist (Born 1941 in Tenhola) graduated as an industrial designer in Gothenburg's Art and Design and has worked in Rörstand factories at Linköping. He worked as a designer in Arabia immediately after graduating, 1967-74, first in art department, then in the product design department.

Peter Winquist has designed one of the most well known dishware sets, EH-model, witch is also knows as Faenza-tableware. Set was awarded in the Faenza International Ceramic Art Competition. EH model was typical of functional, appropriate solutions, such as outwardly curved, rounded edges, lightweight construction, drainage grooves and accurately sized stacks.

He also designed a children's tableware for Arabia production. Children's tableware planning process started, from getting to know how children's tablemanners in Arabia's children house, where test products were used.

After Arabia year's Peter Wingquist has worked as a art director in Pentik Ltd's, made studio pottery from stoneware and red clay using diffrent kind of combustion processes and has organized symposia on the field of pottery, education and exhibitions.
